May

Saturday, May 10th   8:00 pm
Doc Walker in concert with special guest Ridley Bent
Presented by 1490 The Ride
Doc Walker The recipient of “Album of the Year” at the 2007 Canadian Country Music Awards was Doc Walker. A satisfied nod of approval made its way through the industry sector of the audience that night as the win was acknowledged as much deserved. The members of Doc Walker – Chris Thorsteinson, Dave Wasyliw and Murray Pulver, from outside of Winnipeg Manitoba, have a tough act to follow – their own! The new body of work lusciously titled “Beautiful Life” was a year in the making and with Justin Niebank producing the project, it proved to be another great collection of songs. The album kicked off with the title track “Beautiful Life” being serviced to radio and the video, directed by Chris Hickey (Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town) debuting on CMT. The album is stacked with Doc Walker originals (including “Beautiful Life”) and co-writes including two with revered fellow Canadian writers Carolyn Dawn Johnson and Deric Ruttan.
